The team began with Earl "Curly" Lambeau asking his packing company for money in order to supply uniforms. The sponsors agreed asking the team to be named after their cause; thus, the Packers were created. Today, Earl Lambeau is still honored as the team plays at Lambeau Field. Green Bay football has seen their share of victories including 12 league championships, 15 division championships, seven conference wins and three Super Bowl triumphs. Their greatest successes took place under the leadership of famed coach, Vince Lombardi. Since his reign, the Packers have sold out their stadium for every home game.
